I am writing to report on my experience with Robert Tennenbaum while seeking the resolution of a skin problem which developed around September of 2001. The initial cause may have been that I had been bitten by a household spider, but whatever the cause, the manifestation turned into a condition which became chronic...
A small "pin prick" on one of my ankles transformed into a rather nasty skin outbreak which ultimately broke out on other parts of my body. Although I had been treated by homeopathic practitioners in the past and had for many years prescribed homeopathics both for myself and my family (for acute conditions), I was persuaded by loved ones to seek the diagnosis of a conventional (allopathic) doctor. Although this went against my personal beliefs (and some prior experience), I reluctantly sought the counsel of a medical "dermatologist", at the very least, to hear what was going on from an allopathic point of view.
Thus, I was told that I had contracted "Impetigo" (which could indeed originate from the skin being pierced by an insect). The requisite antibiotics and cortisone-based "medications" were prescribed. I took the antibiotics, but not the corticoids. The condition subsided somewhat, but never fully resolved, and later became more aggravated (as it is sometimes said when using antibiotics: "win the battle, but lose the war").
Okay, I had had enough of the conventional route, it was now time to seek professional homeopathic help. The problem was, the last homeopathic practitioner I had been seeing had moved out of state. I found Robert Tennenbaum's name among those listed under the National Center for Homeopathy's directory, noting that he was certified in classical homeopathy (CCH) (and also that he maintained an office in my county!). Robert's certification was important to me, and should be to all those seeking professional homeopathic treatment. There are a lot of well-meaning health practitioners out there who dabble in various forms of holistic medicine, but homeopathy is a healing ART requiring both skill and intuition on the part of the practitioner.
Although I knew nothing about him, I decided to give Robert a try. Well, he turned out to be a skilled and intuitive homeopath, and a caring person as well! My case was beautifully resolved over the course of the next 4-5 months, and he quickly found the similum (the remedy which corresponded to my symptoms). He also knew enough to tread lightly with a skin condition by prescribing conservatively (starting with low potencies), thus sparing me the temporary discomfort of any aggravation.
In short, I have to conclude that I feel fortunate to have found a talented homeopath who also possesses excellent case management skills. I have not hesitated to recommend him to any and all seeking true healing. Homeopathy can be a powerful system when it's in the right hands. Thank you Robert: I haven't been back to see you since, but that's good news, yes?
